Terms
Terms and Conditions
These terms explain how Service That Boiler can be used by engineers, customers, and homeowners, and where our platform responsibilities end.
Last updated: 24 May 2026
About these terms
These terms apply when you access or use Service That Boiler, including the marketing website, dashboard, hosted engineer pages, customer care plan signup flows, customer lookup tools, reminder features, enquiry forms, and related services.
Service That Boiler is operated by Andreassen Technologies. You can contact us at max@andreassentech.com.
These terms are intended as practical platform terms for launch. They do not replace the specific service agreement between an engineer and their customer for a care plan.
Who can use the platform
The platform is designed for UK heating and plumbing engineers, their customers, and homeowners or landlords looking to manage boiler service reminders or enquiries.
If you create an engineer account, you confirm that you are authorised to act for the business you register and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.
Engineer accounts
Engineers can use the platform to create care plans, connect Stripe, configure profile and branding information, generate customer signup links, manage customers, and make service agreement documents available to customers.
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account details and business profile accurate.
- Ensuring you are appropriately qualified, registered, insured, and authorised to provide the services you offer.
- Checking that any care plan price, service area, limits, exclusions, and customer-facing wording are suitable for your business.
- Delivering services to your customers in line with your own legal obligations and the agreement you enter into with them.
- Handling customer service, appointments, complaints, cancellations, refunds, and disputes relating to the services you provide.
Customer care plan signup flows
Customers may use hosted signup pages to review plan information, enter their details, review or download an agreement, e-sign an agreement, and set up payment through Stripe.
The care plan service itself is provided by the relevant engineer or engineering business, not by Service That Boiler. Service That Boiler provides software, payment flow support, document generation, and related platform tools.
Customers should read the plan information and service agreement carefully before signing or paying. Questions about service scope, appointments, cancellation, complaints, and practical service delivery should be directed to the engineer named in the agreement.
Payments and Stripe Connect
Payments are processed through Stripe Connect. Engineers must complete Stripe onboarding before they can take customer payments through the platform.
Customer payments are normally collected for the connected engineer account. Service That Boiler may collect an application or platform fee from payments processed through the platform.
Stripe may apply its own terms, onboarding requirements, verification checks, payment timelines, payout rules, disputes process, and fees. We are not responsible for Stripe delays, account restrictions, rejected onboarding, chargebacks, Direct Debit failures, or payout holds.
Service agreement templates and documents
The platform may provide service agreement templates, generated PDFs, e-signature flows, and customer plan references. These tools are provided to help engineers operate more consistently and professionally.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, Service That Boiler does not provide legal advice. Engineers should obtain their own legal review before relying on agreement wording commercially, especially where their plan scope, exclusions, cancellation policy, or regulatory position differs from the default template.
Engineers are responsible for ensuring that their plan is not marketed or operated as insurance unless they have the required permissions and advice.
Acceptable use
You must not use the platform to:
- Break the law or mislead customers.
- Offer services you are not qualified, registered, insured, or authorised to provide.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, malicious, or irrelevant content.
- Attempt to bypass payment, security, authentication, rate limiting, or access controls.
- Scrape, copy, resell, or reverse engineer the platform except where permitted by law.
- Use the platform to send spam, phishing, fraudulent, or abusive communications.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider outages, payment provider issues, bugs, deployments, or security events may affect availability.
We may update, add, remove, suspend, or change features as the product develops. Where a change materially affects paying users, we will try to provide reasonable notice where practical.
Third-party services
The platform relies on third-party services including hosting, databases, cloud storage, email delivery, analytics, and Stripe. Your use of some features may also be subject to those providers' terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, but we choose providers that are appropriate for operating the platform.
Fees, taxes, and billing
Any Service That Boiler fees, platform fees, subscription fees, or usage charges will be shown or agreed separately. Engineers are responsible for any taxes, accounting treatment, and customer-facing pricing obligations connected with their own services.
If we introduce or change platform pricing, we will communicate the relevant commercial terms through the dashboard, onboarding process, contract, or other appropriate channel.
Intellectual property
Service That Boiler and its software, designs, templates, branding, documentation, and platform materials belong to us or our licensors.
Engineers retain rights in their own business names, logos, profile information, and content they provide, but grant us the rights needed to host, display, process, transform, and make that content available through the platform.
Data protection
Our use of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. Engineers using the platform may also have their own responsibilities as data controllers for their customer relationships and should provide their own privacy information where required.
Where we process data on behalf of an engineer, we will do so only to provide, secure, support, and improve the platform and related services.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Service That Boiler is a software and operational platform. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, attendance, workmanship, legality, suitability, or fulfilment of services supplied by engineers to their customers.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, payment provider delays, or losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by users.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe a user has breached these terms, created risk for customers, abused the platform, failed required checks, caused security concerns, or used the service unlawfully.
You can stop using the platform at any time, but some records may be retained where required for payment, legal, accounting, security, fraud prevention, or dispute reasons.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable consumer rights that apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform develops. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
